RE: Free MRC Workshop Series on Power, Race, and White Privilege The Office of Educational Equity and the Center for Professional Development are offering a free workshop at the The workshops will take place over four evenings between February and May of 2008 and in-service credits are available. The workshop series is being facilitated by Dr. Heather Hackman, who has extensive experience in the areas of social justice and multicultural education, with a specific focus on power and privilege dynamics in education. Teams of two to four teachers and/or administrators from SPPS sites are encouraged to register together to provide building level support for each other through-out the class and beyond, so they can continue the dialogue at their own sites with co-workers.
